Flowers and memorabilia event, service and lighting of beacon taking place in Southery to mark VE Day

A village is joining in with celebrations to mark a historic day.

St Mary's Church in Southery is putting on a flowers and memorabilia event to celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day.

It will be taking place from this Saturday until Monday from 11am-4pm each day.

There will be tea, coffee and cake available.

People can also go along on Thursday, May 8 from 2pm-4pm, with a service at 6pm and the lighting of the village beacon when it is dark.
