Not long to go until Burnham Market’s festivities with Christmas events filled with treats and songs
Several events in the Burnhams area are coming up including a performance from schoolchildren who have been busy rehearsing to spread some festive joy.
‘Sing Christmas’ at the Burnhams starts on Friday at All Saints Church in Sutton Cum Ulph with a well-rehearsed performance by Burnham Market Primary School.
The children have “worked so hard” to create this charming ‘Look towards Christmas’ event of songs and poems.
A spokesperson for Music in the Burnhams said: “It would be great if you could come and support them.
“Seeing the joy on their faces as they hear the applause is worth all the effort we at Music in the Burnhams put into these productions.”
The event on Friday starts at 4pm with mulled wine and mince pies beforehand and is £5 each and those who are under 18 can enter for free.
St Clements Church in Burnham Town is in two halves and it is in the Norman nave of the building that they shall hold a joyous performance of favourite Christmas songs and carols by The Norwich Phoenix Male Voice Choir on Saturday at 7.30pm.
Visitors will be able to join in with some of their favourite songs after sampling Ali's mulled wine or apple juice and some sweet offerings.
Ticket prices are £20 each and under 18-year-olds can enter for free.
A Winter Music Supper Club will be taking place on Wednesday, December 18 at Burnham Overy Village Hall.
People can enjoy a two-course meal with music from Lawrence Thackeray on the tenor, Alison Langer doing the soprano and Brenda Blewett on the piano.
Booking is essential and is £35 per person.
