Watlington Players to put on a fairytale with a twist performed by all-female band

A “wickedly funny musical” with a live all-female band is set to set the stage in a village later this month.

The Watlington Players, an award-winning group, will put on the performance of Disenchanted, where you can see fairy tale princesses as you’ve never seen them before.

It is described as a “hilarious and empowering musical that flips the classic happily-ever-after on its head”.

The production will run for three nights only from February 20 to 22 at Watlington Village Hall.

Under the direction of Amy Power and Megan Abbot, the musical comedy takes a fresh look at the iconic Disney princesses, Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and their friends as they reclaim their own stories.

Tickets are priced at £10 and are available to buy on their website.
