Barton Bendish to be transformed
Barton Bendish parish church and its village hall will be transformed into an art gallery and exhibition space this weekend.
The village will be showcasing the work of around 50 talented artists, photographers and crafters from the local area and across Norfolk.
This will be the 11th art, photography and craft exhibition and sale to be hosted by the village and it will be open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and from 11am to 5pm on Sunday.
Everything on display will be for sale with proceeds going towards the upkeep of St Andrew's Church and to the Alzheimers Society.
Art will be on display in the hall and the crafts work in the church.
Liz Stephens, one of the organisers, said there will be 18 crafts tables and around 250 pieces of art on show overall.
"There will be a real variety of work on display," she said. "We have a willow weaver coming, a furniture upholsterers, a demonstration of lino printing, there will be jewellery and also gift ideas cards and decorations ready for the run up to Christmas."
She said that the hall has been extended and refurbished so it will create an ideal setting for the art work this time.
Admission will be £1, with no charge for children, and home-made cakes, teas and light lunches will be available.
