Holme Hale Hall Swaffham part of Norfolk Open Gardens scheme to show off autumn colourful beds and borders
The Norfolk Open Gardens scheme’s final openings of the year are ready and waiting to show off their array of interesting and colourful beds and borders this autumn.
The event takes place in September and October and a garden outside Swaffham is one of the options. A walled kitchen garden designed by Arne Maynard waits at Holme Hale Hall.
Most of the gardens opening soon will accept cashless payments on the gate, but pre-booking is also available online.
Please check the www.ngs.org.uk website for availability of refreshments and accessibility. All children go in free or permitted admission with a donation, unless otherwise stated.
If you can’t make the date for a specific garden opening, remember that many gardens are also open ‘by arrangement’ for you to contact and book a date more suitable for you, your family and friends.
Holme Hale Hall (IP25 7ED) opening time is noon to 4pm and admission is £7.
Other options further afield include an exotic and tropical theme at 33 Waldemar Avenue in Hellesdon; High House at Shipdham boasts a plantsman’s garden with orchard; and the season closes with the large gardens at East Ruston Old Vicarage.
