An all-inclusive ticket for a two-course summer supper followed by a carefully selected Encore screening is on offer at Westacre Theatre this month.

This has already proved to be one of the biggest successes at the venue, but you can still obtain tickets for two of these very special evenings.

Next Friday, July 15, Westacre is screening Matthew Bourne’s interpretation of Swan Lake which has achieved legendary status by becoming the longest running ballet in the West End and on Broadway collecting more than 30 theatre awards.

Probably best known for replacing the traditional female corps de ballet with a menacing male ensemble, this glamorous piece of dance theatre creates one of Britain’s most spectacular artistic triumphs.

Bourne successfully makes modern sense of its mythical story, based on a Russian romantic ballet, and Tchaikovsky’s glorious score is generally seen as some of the best dance music ever written.

As a life-enhancing fairy tale, this version of Swan Lake is visually stunning and simply magical.

The following week, Friday, July 22, sees the return of the stirring production of A View from the Bridge – the great masterpiece by Arthur Miller – starring Mark Strong, Nicola Walker and Phoebe Fox.
