Downham Market band receive nominations
When Rivers Meet (WRM), the husband-and-wife duo who hail originally from Downham, have received nominations in three categories at the the UK Blues Awards this year.
They are just one of a few of the UK’s leading blues artists who have received nominations.
When Rivers Meet, comprising husband and wife Aaron and Grace Bond, who swept the UK Blues Awards last year by being the first act to win four awards, are back this year with three nominations including Blues vocalist of the year, Blues band of the year and Blues album of the year.
Grace and Aaron Bond said: ""We are absolutely over the moon to have been nominated in three categories in the UK Blues Awards this year.
"We are an independent, self managed band and to be recognised in these awards is a massive deal for us! Aaron is born and bred Downham Market, so we are always grateful for any local support.
"We released our debut album last year and following that we were the first band to ever win four UK Blues Awards in the same year, so to be nominated again absolutely blows our mind."
WRM are currently riding high with their sophomore album Saving Grace which features their forthcoming single He’ll Drive You Crazy.
The band start their 17-date UK headline tour with special guest Troy Redfern on April 21.
