The Hunstanton and District Festival of Arts hosting VE Day gala

A VE Day victory gala is to take place at Hunstanton Town Hall as part of a whole weekend of celebrations.

The Hunstanton and District Festival of Arts will be taking part in the event on Friday, which starts at 2pm.

This has been organised by John Harris, a well-known local musician who has raised thousands of pounds for charity over the years.

The day will be filled with patriotic songs, beautiful poetry, tunes to sing along to, and a few comedy sketches to make visitors chuckle.

Other groups taking part include The West Norfolk Singers, concert pianist Loe Mai Yuen, Nikki and Dave Williams, The Zimbabwe Fellowship, and a mystery guest artist yet to be announced.

Mr Harris himself will lead the sing-alongs at the piano.

This concert will be held in support of the Royal British Legion with a grand raffle with many prizes up for grabs, so go along and join in the fun.

Tickets cost £10 with £7 concessions, and are available from By the Book on Hunstanton High Street.
