The story of Ben E King and the Drifters is now on a tour at theatres across the UK through the musical show Stand By Me – and will be stopping off at King’s Lynn Corn Exchange on Saturday, March 11.

This show is a superb musical revue of a group that helped to define Atlantic Records, inspired early rock and roll and were forerunners to both the black music movement in 1950s America and early Motown.

It features some of the original recording artists from the successful Stand By Me album and in today’s Lynn News competition we have two pairs of tickets on offer. This show is not to be missed with so many great songs, a large cast and a live band make it a musical journey to remember.

The Drifters were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1988. They are one of the biggest selling, longest serving bands of all time, having sold an incredible 214 million singles and over 114 million albums worldwide. This is their musical history.

The icons, challenges, controversy and conflicts, told through anecdotes of former members on screen, sit alongside the vast succession of more than 50 hits over the last six decades, including Under the Boardwalk, Saturday Night at the Movies, Up on the Roof, On Broadway and, of course, Stand By Me.

These favourite songs will transport you straight to Broadway, talk of growing up in 1950s Harlem, and the days of Disco and the Northern Soul scene.

For your chance to win a pair of tickets to Stand By Me, just answer this question:
