Young stars auditions to join cast of Aladdin
King’s Lynn Corn Exchange and Jordan Productions are looking for shining stars to join the cast of Aladdin for its annual pantomime from December 10 until January 5.
Auditions for two teams of talented performers with high levels of dance ability to join the juvenile ensemble take place on Sunday, September 22, at Alive Corn Exchange.
All those auditioning should be over 8 years old and under-18.
Those selected will perform alongside the professional cast which includes Britain’s Got Talent stars Twist and Pulse as PC’s Hip & Hop, West End performer Lisa Mathieson in the title role of Aladdin and the welcome return of Ian Marr as Widow Twankey, who will once again team up for a hilarious double act with Scott Cripps as Wishee Washee.
Two more fantastic cast members have been announced to join this formidable team. Firstly, Steven Pinder who will be playing Abanazaar.
Steven appeared in the Corn Exchange’s very first panto back in 2010 and again in 2013; and they’re thrilled to have him return for the 10th panto. Steven is best known for his role in Brookside where he played Max Farnham in the series from 1990-2003.
He then moved to theatre and played many roles including the Wizard in the West End show Wicked for many years.
They are also excited to welcome Divine Cresswell, who will be playing Princess So-Shi. Divine is an actor and dancer and performed in many West End shows including Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, Miss Saigon and South Pacific.
She has also appeared on film in Cuban Fury.
