Fakenham’s Ride North Norfolk cycle event back this Sunday
The popular Ride North Norfolk cycle event is back on Sunday, starting from Fakenham and going through some of the best, gentle cycling routes in the country.
The non-competitive ride has clearly marked routes, emergency back-up and feed stations and you can still enter through the Active Fakenham website or through British Cycling.
Organiser Richard Crook said: “The ride has been popular with locals and visitors of all ages and cycling abilities. This year routes range through 15, 25, 36, 51, 64 (100km) and 102 miles.
“We are aware of the cost of living crisis and we are proud that we have been able to maintain the low cost of entry. Most rides are now commercial ventures whereas ours is still a community-run event with many volunteers and local groups supporting us. Rides start from just £4.
Entry includes: easy-to-follow signage on all routes, free drinks and nutrition, including homemade flapjack; free photos; a trophy/medal when you finish; free drawstring goodie bag on arrival; map; GPX /Garmin files; mobile mechanic and breakdown support; rescue service; First Aid at the Community Centre; a social event at the Community Centre and garden including food, music and stalls that is open to all, including music by Anto Morra and others and a barbecue.
