Singles Socials set up by Terrington St Clement woman is going from ‘strength to strength’ with launch of new website
A dating group set up by a Terrington St Clement woman has gone from “strength to strength” as she plays Cupid matching singletons in the area.
Janet Wilson has now expanded her business - Singles Socials - to the web after the number of people wanting to find love and get out socialising more grew.
She first set up the matchmaking group, which involves many varied different trips out, after finding herself single for the first time since she was 16.
On her website, Janet showcases some of her single clients by writing a detailed dating profile describing their looks and personality.
She does this via a Zoom call with the client where she interviews them about their life.
Upcoming events are also listed on the website and there are several membership options for people to choose from.
One success story from Singles Socials is of another lady called Janet, and Andy, who hit it off after meeting at a casual dinner in September last year.
The pair said that without Janet’s platform, their paths would have never crossed.
Janet has also uploaded a series of free videos to watch which aims at improving people’s confidence when it comes to dating.
The group, which now has more than 100 active members and 500 on its mailing list, is tailored for single people aged 30 and older in Norfolk.
Janet, who has since quit her full-time job due to the success of Singles Socials, said: “I’m really enjoying seeing people gain confidence.
“On the match-making side, I have over 80% of my clients out dating. It's early days for some but we are starting to get some really lovely results.”
Members of Singles Socials frequently get together to go on trips to London to see musicals, meals out and much more. The most recent trip saw the group facing heights by completing Go Ape at Thetford Forest.
Janet added: “We also privately hired the Sothern Comfort Paddle Streamer on the Norfolk Broads for a Jazz Cruise.”
The 58-year-old, who has since found love, has also expanded her team which helps her run the events.
“They make sure that everybody has someone to chat to,” she added.
