King’s Lynn teacher Greg Hill charged with two offences by Norfolk Police
A well-known West Norfolk teacher has been charged with two offences more than five months after his original arrest.
Suspended Howard Junior School head teacher Greg Hill, 48, has been charged with two offences by Norfolk Police today.
He is accused of committing harassment without violence between March 12, 2022 and February 22 this year, and resisting arrest on March 6 this year.
The latter offence relates to his arrest outside his school in Gaywood, where Hill had been the head teacher for 16 years. He was suspended from that role following the incident.
He has been released on police bail to appear at Norwich Magistrates’ Court on October 10.
Hill, of Valley Way in Fakenham, denied the allegations and launched a complaint against Norfolk Police after his arrest, claiming he had a panic attack during the incident before being kept in custody for 15 hours.
Following his suspension, an emergency inspection carried out at the Howard Junior School found it to be “inadequate”.
Ofsted inspectors discovered “serious failings” which they said had been left “unchallenged for too long”.
