Keen sky watchers share images of Northern Lights across Norfolk - including in Brancaster Staithe, King’s Lynn and Downham Market
If you decided to stay up late over the weekend, you might have caught a glimpse of the breathtaking Northern Lights which made a rare appearance across the UK.
The lights - also known as aurora borealis - were visible across the country on Friday night, and some even caught a second view of the stunning sky.
The stunning spectacle could be seen after one of the strongest geomagnetic storms for years hit Earth.
Excited sky-watchers who stayed up have shared breathtaking images of the lights that they captured from around West Norfolk, North Norfolk and Breckland.
Keen photographer Julie Smart captured the Northern Lights at Brancaster Staithe at 11pm on Friday night.
