Theatre review: Show is for the not easily offended at Norwich Playhouse
Theatre review: She Go Looks Back at 2023
Norwich Playhouse
This annual comic treat sees Norwich single mum She Go, played by the brilliant Karl Minns, reminisce about last year, riffling through old newspaper headlines to joke about Norfolk's people and places - and their accent.
There are some familar targets - Anglia Square, Castle Mall, Ipswich, and the Canaries.
Look East's Stewart White holds a special place in her heart and the newly retired Mike Liggins is the subject of a rather lewd story.
The show lasts just over an hour and is a real pick-me-up at this time of year as everyone, from the middle classes of Norwich's Golden Triangle to She Go's Larkman Estate, is the subject of Minns' sharp satire.
Tickets are pretty hard to come by, but for those who like their humour with a bit of bite, and are not easily offended, this is show for you.
Just maybe don't sit in the front row if you don't want to be included!
The show runs until January 21. Visit www.norwichtheatre.org for more.
