GCSE Results Day 2019: Smithdon High School
Officials at Hunstanton's Smithdon High School say they are going "from strength to strength", despite a fall in the numbers passing both English and Maths.
Fifty-eight per cent of students achieved at least a 4 grade in both subjects this year, down from a record 67 per cent last year.
But headteacher Simon Wilson said: "We are all tremendously proud of the Smithdon students this year.
"The school continues to grow from strength to strength with 58% of students gaining a 4+ in English and Maths.
"There have been some outstanding individual results across the ability range with many planning to study A Levels at Springwood Sixth Form.
"I would like to thank the staff for their dedication and the parents for their support in securing another successful year at Smithdon.
Leading achievers at Smithdon this year include Taylor Smith with seven grade 9s and three grade 8s.
Lucy Henry scored five grade 9s, three grade 8s and two grade 7s, while Aelfthryth Stewart achieved four grade 9s, one grade 8, two grade 7s and two grade 6s.
