Hip hip hooray it's 40 chairs to Watlington and Runcton Holme Guides and Brownies

Downham Market Round Table has been serving their community by donating folding plastic chairs to the 1st Watlington and Runcton Holme Guides and Brownies.

Ryan Rix, chairman of the Downham Market Round Table, said: "Unit leader Mandy Randle approached us a while back and asked us if we would be able to help raise some funds for the brownies and guides as the chairs they had were too small and old and didn't stack away neatly.

"They were beyond ideal.

"So we decided that we would purchase them 40 new chairs, that all stack onto a rolling frame, so they can be moved easily and pushed to one side when not required.

"At over £1200.00 we feel it is a very worthwhile donation, and will help the youngsters in their time at brownies and guides.

"This money is funds we raise at events like our upcoming Downham Market Fireworks, at Stradsett Hall, that this year is scheduled for the November 6.
