Pick-your-own apples from Sandringham Estate orchards
Sandringham Apple Juice company has started the pick-your-own apples season on the royal estate.
The orchards began under King George VI in the 1930s and now fuel Sandringham Apple Juice, made and sold on the estate.
The business grows and produces eight single varieties of apple juice which are available to buy on site and also at Rising Lodge Farm shop, at Knights Hill in Lynn.
Cider is also available at the Nip and Growler, the Ferry Lane Social Club and The Fenman, all in Lynn.
The orchard opened for apple picking on Saturday and owner Andrew Jarvis said: "It was a busy weekend. People can pick their own apples and then they are weighed and they can pay for them.
"We make Red Kite and Buzzard and a variety of cider and juices, still and sparkling.
"We also produce our own cider made from 100 per cent pure apple juice, nothing added, nothing taken away.
"The orchards are off Icknield Way in between Flitcham and West Newton. Head for Sandringham then follow the blue 'PYO' signs"
No booking is necessary, and there is parking at the orchards. Daily opening times are Monday to Saturday 1-5pm and Sundays 10am-5pm.
