King's Lynn Pelicans duo James Kerry and Sam Phillips represent England Hockey U17 Boys’ Performance Centre at Bury St Edmunds





James Kerry and Sam Phillips, who play for Lynn's Pelicans Hockey Club, have represented England Hockey U17 Boys’ Performance Centre based at Bury St Edmunds.

The squad is selected from the county teams from Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Lincolnshire.

Wisbech Grammar School pupils James (goalkeeper) and Sam (who plays outfield in defence) played in two matches on Sunday at The Merchant Taylors School, in Northwood, Rickmansworth.

Both games were against the Performance Centre based at Northwood, which players are selected from Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Kent, Middlesex, Oxfordshire, Surrey and Sussex.

The first match was won by Northwood, but Bury evened the score with a 3-2 win in the second.
