King's Lynn boss Brady has no room for Kerr at present

King’s Lynn Stars manager Alex Brady says he has no immediate plans to use Lynn-born speedway rider Lewis Kerr.

The long-serving West Norfolk racer, who had a testimonial at the Adrian Flux Arena at the beginning of 2022, moved to eventual league cup winners Sheffield midway through the season after a poor run of form.

The Minors & Brady Stars boss said of the 32-year-old : "The door will never be shut on Lewi – I made that clear to him at the time and he made that clear to me when he left.

"It was a mutual agreement at the time; it was never one person has upset the other and that's it forever.

"But yeah, it was right for him and for us, and it was right for Fred (Jakobsen, who replaced Kerr) as well because ultimately Fred has been fantastic.

"I'm really pleased that Lewi has gone on to great success with Sheffield, missing out on the league title by a couple of points.

"He's always in the equation. He's always someone I will admire and respect. Time's run its course here for him.

"Never say never but I wouldn't say it's likely in the near future."
