Name change for Heacham Table Tennis League which starts on September 16
A big change as the Heacham Table Tennis League is now the Heacham Table Tennis Club Internal League, with all matches being played on a Monday evening in Heacham Public Hall.
The league is made up of six teams, four teams from last year: Hunnys Heroes, Adrian’s Oldstars, Spivs and Vips. The two new teams are Malc’s Marvels and The Outlaws.
The league starts on Monday, September 16 and consists of five different formats.
From last season there is the normal and challenge formats, new this season handicap, doubles and hard bat.
Each team will play five matches in each format. The main league will be a combination of the normal and challenge formats while the other three formats combine together and these are aimed at encouraging the less experienced and new players.
Three matches will be played every Monday evening.
As in previous seasons the league has a good selection of ‘Super Subs’ to help out if any teams struggle to get a full team of three players.
Although we had good lighting all new lighting is being installed and should be ready for the start of the season.
League reports should be in Friday’s Lynn News paper the same week as the matches being played on the Monday.
Full match reports, league tables and photos will again be on the website at www.malc-on-line.co.uk/tabletennis/index.htm
