Princess Theatre, Hunstanton hosts Bootleg Sixties and Irish star Lisa Stanley
The Bootleg Sixties with The Overtures perform at the Princess Theatre, Hunstanton on Saturday, October 15.
The Sixties were without doubt the most dynamic and innovative of decades, and their impact upon society is still being felt throughout the world even now. The huge changes in music, fashion and culture which the Sixties brought about have left an indelible mark on the world, one which will probably never be equalled.
Many of the creators and innovators of the Sixties were, of course, British, so in recognition of such everlasting achievements, The Bootleg Sixties was created.
This fully self-contained two-hour plus show is packed with great music from all the classic artists of the decade, and is back-dropped by fantastic visual footage.
Add in some fab 1960s costumes and blistering performances by The Overtures, and you’ve got a knockout show! Show starts 7.30pm. Tickets £26.50.
Lisa Stanley, undoubtedly one of the top female vocalists in her field, arrives on Sunday, 7.30pm.
Born and raised in Ireland, but now based in the UK, she was born into the business, with both her parents being Irish showbiz stars (Maisie McDaniel and Fintan Stanley), Lisa is a natural performer and entertainer, and learned much of her stagecraft from her late mother Maisie, who was Irelands first female country singing star, and a household name throughout the showband years.
Lisa will return to the Princess with her brand new “A New Day Will Dawn” show, but you can still expect to hear all the songs Lisa is best know for such as Love Me A Little Bit Longer, I Saw The Light In Your Window Tonight, Looking For A Girl, Why Oh Why, When You Say Nothing At All, as well as her recent self penned ballad A New Day Will Dawn which was written after the pandemic.
Tickets: £22.50; box office: 01485 532252.
